❔ Why did you begin fostering?
We started about 4 years ago, to go on a journey to adopt after we felt a strong call to help children. We had initially ruled out fostering thinking it would be too hard, but after challenges with the adoption process, conversations with restore network families and a lot of praying, we placed our faith that this was God’s plan for us.
❔ What has God taught you during your foster care journey?
Dependency on Him is absolutely necessary when you are faced with surprises and reminders of how broken the foster system is.
❔ What hope do you hold onto during the difficult seasons?
That as hard as it is, this moment will turn to joy. A child has a safe place and is surrounded by those that love like Christ loves, unconditionally.
